- 1 Jar Ally’s Tomato-Free Sauce
- 1 Tblsp Plain Flour
- 25g Butter (or dairy free alternative)
- 50ml Single Cream (or soya alternative)
- Fresh Basil
- Half a cup of water
- Seasoning to taste
Make a roux with the flour and butter. Cook for approximately three minutes stirring continuously before gradually adding the water to make a smooth and silky mixture. Add the jar of Ally’s Tomato-Free Sauce and bring to the boil. Take off the heat and stir in the single cream (or dairy free alternative) and season with a pinch of salt and pepper to taste. Serve with some chunky rustic bread and some chopped fresh basil. Wonderful on a cold evening, or as a hearty lunch.
